This is an English translation of the Japanese privacy policy. If the two differ, the Japanese version prevails.

Harmonies for Sleep (the "Service") is a web app, offered at https://goodsleep.fortuna.hair/, that synthesizes sleep sounds in your browser. This policy explains how the Service handles information about its users.

1. Information the Service collects

The Service does not collect personal information such as your name or email address. There is no account registration, and all sound is synthesized on your own device. Your sound settings and actions are never sent to the Service's servers. (For what is sent for analytics, see "6. Analytics"; for advertising, see "5. Advertising".)

2. Information stored on your device

So that the Service opens with the same settings next time, the following is saved in your browser's storage (localStorage). It stays on your device and is never sent to the Service or to third parties.

Your display mode choice (Night / Soft) is also saved in a cookie, fortuna-theme, shared by fortuna.hair and its subdomains (kept for one year). The cookie is sent to the Service's servers when a page is opened, but the Service uses it only to choose the display colours. The display mode is also saved in localStorage under the same name.

You can delete it by clearing the site's data in your browser settings.

3. Third-party services

The Service uses the following third-party services. When a page is displayed, your IP address, browser type and similar information are sent to them. For how each service handles that information, please see its privacy policy.

Google Fonts
The fonts used to display text are loaded from Google's servers. (Google Privacy Policy)
YouTube
Some column articles embed YouTube videos. A video is not loaded until you press its play button; before that, only its thumbnail image is shown from YouTube's servers (i.ytimg.com). When you play it, the video loads in YouTube's (Google's) privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). (Google Privacy Policy)
Amazon Web Services
The Service's files are delivered using Amazon CloudFront and Amazon S3. (AWS Privacy Notice)

4. Amazon Associates Program

The Service is a participant in the Amazon Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.co.jp.

As an Amazon Associate, Harmonies for Sleep earns from qualifying purchases.

Links in boxes marked "PR" on the page are Amazon Associates links. When you follow one to Amazon.co.jp, Amazon may use cookies and similar technologies to identify where you came from. The Service does not receive your name, address, the products you buy, or similar information through these links. (Amazon.co.jp Privacy Notice)

5. Advertising (Google AdSense)

The Service uses Google AdSense, a third-party advertising service.

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to the Service or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to the Service and/or other sites on the Internet.

You may opt out of personalized advertising in Google's My Ad Center. You can also opt out of third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info. For how Google uses cookies in advertising, see Advertising – Policies & Terms – Google.

6. Analytics

To understand how the Service is used and improve it, the Service uses Google Analytics, an analytics tool provided by Google LLC.

Google Analytics uses cookies to collect information such as the pages you view, time spent, your approximate region, and your device and browser type. This information is collected and managed by Google; the Service receives only aggregated statistics that cannot identify individuals.

To stop this collection, disable cookies in your browser settings or use the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. For how Google uses data, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.

In most regions, including Japan, Google Analytics cookies are used from your first visit. For visits from the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom and Switzerland, Google Analytics cookies are not used until you agree (Google Consent Mode; Google determines the region from where the visit comes). From any region, you can stop their use (or give your consent) at any time from Cookie settings.

7. Disclaimer

The Service's sounds are intended to be played before sleep for relaxation. They are not medical care and are not a substitute for treatment. If sleep problems continue, please consult a medical professional.

The Service is not responsible for information, products or services offered on external sites it links to.

8. Changes to this policy

This policy may be changed without notice in response to changes in law or new features of the Service (such as adding a new third-party service). Changes take effect when they are posted on this page.
